Domestic Chicky

So I guess there were these bloggers – all women, I think – who all got together in Chicago, to talk about…um, blogging I guess?? And they like, got to hang out and and meet all kinds of like, cool people, who like, blog too? And like some even got to see Amy Sedaris, who is like a goddess among homemakers, crafty chicas, and funny ladies alike?

*sigh*

I am SO stinkin jealous…

I have 3,452 things on my to-do list, and time for only 1,382 of them…Math sucks!

I am thinking about re-reading this book…and I have no idea why.

I have almost all of my pincushions done, with a few more I will toss into my etsy shop…

I am at a sucky place weight-wise…I have lost enough that my pants are all loose, but not enough to wear my next size down pants…and I refuse to buy any in-between clothes…It’s a good/bad thing, but one I will happily accept!

Sweet mama Mrs Flinger used to do a fun thing called Mom’s Night Out…it was a group chat of fellow mama bloggers, once a month, on Yahoo IM, BYOB…SO much fun, and I met lots of great women there…She is thinking about starting it up again, so if you would be interested, leave my a comment and I will add you to the notice list…

…as I mentioned in my last post, I have 537 feeds in my Google Reader (have you tried iGoogle by the way? Such a fun page!)-that’s a lot of reading! I enjoy sharing new little discoveries, but worry that my sidebar is getting too overwhelming. So I am asking you for your opinions…how do YOU organize your favorites on your site? Would more categories of fewer blogs be better? A whole page just for links? Is it better if they are alphabetized? How often do you add new ones? Do you remove any? Am I asking wayyy too many questions?

Wow, it’s great to be back from vacation, nothing like laying on beach, soaking up the sun, getting drinks & massages from a guy named…

Oh wait..I didn’t GO on vacation…I just THOUGHT I did.

I am sure I could come up with a bunch of anti-blogging excuses, but the truth is I don’t have any. I just took a break…a lazy, ordinary, boring, didn’t-get-a-darn-thing-done break.
I read a lot of blogs…537 of them to be exact…thank goodness they don’t all update on the same day! Heck, some don’t update at all anymore, but there must of been some goody or tidbit I wanted to save. I have been using Google reader lately, which I love, since the Internet Explorer feed thingy decided to not work anymore.

Especially if you are doing business online, or have a lot to do online…do you schedule time each day? Grab it when you can? Do you follow a cleaning schedule? I tend to be a flybaby as far as scheduling goes. I have my little routines that I follow…I may check my email first thing in the morning, but I make a bargain with myself that I have to have x,y,and z done before I can get online. Silly, huh? I do the same in the afternoon, and in the evening. It helps that I have a phone that lets me chat and recieve email, but I am wondering if a laptop would be a big help. I like the idea of looking up recipes in the kitchen, or being able to go outside and hang out with my boys during the day….any advice/ideas would be SO appreciated!

I decided to make Pioneer Woman’s Marlboro Man Sandwiches last night…there is like a stick of butter in these bad boys, but omg is it ever tasty! Of course my pics weren’t nearly as pretty as hers, so you’ll have to get your pic fix & the recipe there!

I am going to be co-ordinating a crafting page for the Happy Housewives site. I am by no means experienced in every aspect of crafting, but I will have contributors for other crafts, and I hope to add tutorials, links to books & websites, etc…The target date is September 1st!

I have also had a bunch of graphics work lately…I am going to put up a few pics soon, but one of the most fun ones was making a banner and buttons for Crazy Days and Nights…it’s an excellent gossip site, with lots of juicy tidbits. Thanks to everyone who has asked for designs, and sent work my way! I will be putting up a button for design requests soon! I can do blogging stuff, but also business card, label & stationery design, t-shirt designs, personalized graphics for kids rooms, etc..
