Flashback Friday

LOVE THE HAIR…wanted it then, want it now ;-)

Recovering

Yes, I spoke WAYYYYY too soon. I was hit with the same bug that knocked out all the boys in my house, and yes, my husband DID come home around 10, and took the boys out til 4 – VERY nice. I was thankful I didn’t get hit quite as hard, and I feel a LOT better today…

I will be posting Friday Flashback in a bit – I love that other people are posting their favorite “vintage” songs as well…next week I have to show you some of the projects I have been up to, and hopefully I will have finished ALL of my swap projects to share too!!

Ack!!

Ok, maybe it’s not QUITE this bad, but poor hubby had a bout of tummy flu/food poisoning, and you know how it is when men get sick – NOTHING gets done. I told him next time I get an upset tummy I wanted him to stay home from work so I could lay in bed all day. Good thing they don’t get cramps every month, huh? ;-) In lieu of another earth-shatteringly interesting post ;-) , I will send you over to The Apronista to check out this weeks Giveaway…Can you guess what it is??EDITED TO ADD: the boys have the bug now…lovely (sigh)

Flashback Friday

This one isn’t as old as the others I have been doing, but I sure remember him being pretty drool-worthy back then…

Apronista Notebook

We have a new giveaway coming up next week! One of my favorite Apronistas (and an inspiration for one of our previous Group Projects), who literally JUST had a baby, is generously sponsoring a great giveaway next week!

If you live in the Orange County California Area, Heavenly Hostess has a new Brick and Mortar store! Cynthia has great plans for her store in Old Town Orange. Not only does she carry her signature aprons, she also has books, jewelry, tiaras (I HIGHLY recommend a tiara for cleaning house!) and Sublime Stitching products! Look for a giveaway here soon, and we are planning an in-person Apronista/Heavenly Hostess event later this year!

Restyled Home is one of my favorite resources for great decor and style inspiration, and recently featured pantries. They show a whole NEW use for a Vintage Apron!

The LOLA Apron Pattern is now for sale! Meg has a new site – Sew Liberated, and a fantastic new look. You also have to check out the flickr group just for Meg’s fabulous patterns.

Kerry over at Practically Necessary was just asked to submit one of her gorgeous Aprons to O Magazine! Can you imagine? Way to go Kerry!! I am swooning over her choice!

You MUST go over to Not Quite June Cleaver for a GREEN giveaway!

Finally, our own Carrie Sommer not only has the BEST Retro Apron pictures ever, but she is now officially a STAR – check her out in this video!

Have a Fabulous weekend Apronistas!
