Make sure you stop by here Monday for a special treat! As you all (hopefully!) know, Monday is Wear Your Apron Day, and I thought it would be fun for you all to have one place to list your blog posts about Apron Day and to read others posts…

So on Monday, wear your aprons everywhere, or make yourself a new apron, share a tutorial, an embellishment trick, embroidery design, do a giveaway, whatever you want, and I will have a Mr Linky here for you to list your post.

Then on Friday, I will draw one person from all the contributors to win a goodie package from me, including a copy of “A is for Apron” by Nathalie Mornu!

I am also planning an Apron Festival in June where you can post your apron giveaways to help promote your shops, blogs and maybe win an apron yourself! So start planning your giveaways and keep watching here for details!

Wet Wipes Giveaway to help protect YOUR school!

antibacterial Wet Ones I was contacted by Wet Ones offering to supply each classroom in my son’s school with 2 canisters of antibacterial Wet Wipes! As the mom of a preemie, taking great (but logical) precaution to prevent illness has been old hat to my family for 5 years. But when your kids start kindergarten, ALL bets are off…my son has come home with every germ and bug known to man – no matter how much hand washing we do here, I can’t make sure he does the same at school.

In addition to the generous donation Wet Ones is making to my son’s school, they are offering to donate the same thing to one of my readers!! Why a pillowcase?

Vintage linens are so in vogue but what do to with the pillowcases? If you’ve got enough skirts or you’re like me and your fanny won’t fit into a pillowcase, a pinnie it the perfect lovely project for them! And it’s an excellent way to “Make Do” with what you have!
Requirements:

A pillowcase or one yard of fabric
2-3 packages of bias tape (depending on the length and number of pockets)
one snap set or button

As the Apron Turns…

I think I need to host a contest to name my weekly Aprons around the web post. Any suggestions?

I am a real lame – O. I completely missed telling you about Kim Hendricks’ giveaway at Olive Juice & Co. Her Aprons are beyond adorable, and if you wanna know a secret (shhh) – Kim was the person I was writing about when I thought up the name Apronista – Hey, maybe I should have a trivia contest too!!

EllynAnne has begun her book tour – check out the dates here - I know she would be SUPER thrilled if you stopped in to say hi to her while she is on the road – and if you wear your Apron, she would be over the moon. Tell her the Apronista sent you! If you go see her, take pictures and send them to me and I will post them here!
