I am about to share with you one of my most coveted and asked for recipes. But ONLY if you PINKY SWEAR not to tell anyone, ok? (looks around)
Ok, here it is. This is my Top Secret Turkey Marinade:
1 stick of butter, melted (1/2 cup)
1/4 C Orange Marmalade
1/4 C Soy Sauce
1/4 C Dijon Mustard
Whisk well, and pour over turkey. Bake as usual.
That’s it! It’s So simple, but SOO yummy. No one flavor predominates, so you get just plain YUMMY.
THe best part is it makes the MOST amazing gravy. After you remove the turkey, drain off the drippings (a little of the fat is ok, but not too much) transfer to a saucepan, and whisk a bit of flour in over medium heat. Keep it moving, and allow to thicken. Ta-Da!
But just don’t tell anyone – it’s our secret, ok? 😉
Edited to add – It’s great on Chicken or Pork too!!
Sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing – I’ll keep it just between us. 😉
That sounds delicious! I think I’m gonna try it this year but keep in on the DL so no one knows. Sshhhhh.
Thanks for sharing,
Ciao
you’re secrets safe with me, I don’t cook turkeys on Thanksgiving, that is my dad’s job.
But all of twitterland knows now. We’ll have to kill them. Thanks for sharing, I will try on chicken first. Can I try it on a chicken? Sorry, I’m a noob.
I will have to definitely file that away for the next time I have turkey! Which actually won’t be on Thanksgiving this year because we’re grilling filet mignon! 😉 (though we’ll still have the mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie)
That does sound easy, and SO delicious! I can just imagine it on chicken and pork too. Yum! Thanks for sharing your secret.
Your secret is safe with me!!!
Sounds fantastic!
I’m so glad you came over for my Open House. Your “gravy” will be featured at 4:30pm tonight….thanks a bunch!
